Fibroadenomas are highly common, benign (non-cancerous) breast lumps often found in young women. When a lump is discovered, the immediate priority is safety. The Art of the Hidden Incision

1. The Periareolar Approach
If the lump is located near the center or upper half of the breast, Dr. Pawan makes a tiny, semi-circular incision precisely along the border of the areola. Because this area is a natural color transition, the healed scar becomes virtually undetectable.
2. The Inframammary Approach
If the lump is in the lower half of the breast, the incision is hidden deep within the natural crease beneath the breast (the inframammary fold). The scar is completely hidden by the breast’s natural drop.
3. Complete Pathological Safety
Despite the hidden approach, the lump is completely and safely excised intact. It is always sent to a top-tier laboratory for routine biopsy and histopathology to ensure your absolute safety and peace of mind.
Preserving Your Natural Contour
When a large lump is removed, it leaves an empty space (a void) inside the breast. If left alone, the skin collapses into this void, creating an unnatural indentation or "dent." Dr. Pawan utilizes a specialized plastic surgery technique called Glandular Flap Realignment.
