Gravity, Motherhood, and Time.

Breasts are composed of delicate glandular tissue, fat, and skin. Pregnancy, nursing, significant weight loss, and the natural aging process inevitably stretch the skin envelope and weaken the supportive ligaments. The breast loses its upper volume and begins to sag (ptosis). No amount of chest exercises or creams can shrink stretched skin or lift glandular tissue back into place.

"A Breast Lift does not just raise the breast; it meticulously reshapes the tissue into a firmer, tighter, and more youthful contour while elevating the nipple to its natural aesthetic position."

Is a Mastopexy Right For You?

You are an ideal candidate if you experience any of the following:

Downward Pointing Nipples

When the breast sags, the areola and nipple often stretch and point downward toward the floor, falling below the breast crease (inframammary fold).

⚖️

Loss of Upper Volume

Often referred to as being "bottom-heavy" or deflated. The upper pole of the breast looks flat or empty, lacking the rounded cleavage you once had.

↔️

Asymmetry & Stretched Areolas

One breast may sag lower than the other. Additionally, the skin surrounding the nipple (areola) often becomes stretched or enlarged. A lift corrects and reduces this.

Breast Lift Incision Types

Meticulous Surgical Approaches

The degree of sagging dictates the surgical technique required. Dr. Pawan always utilizes the least invasive incision pattern necessary to achieve a beautiful, lasting lift.

1. Crescent / Periareolar Lift (The "Donut")

For mild sagging. A circular incision is made around the edge of the areola. Excellent for resizing large areolas and providing a subtle lift with minimal scarring.

2. Vertical Lift (The "Lollipop")

For moderate sagging. Involves an incision around the areola and vertically down to the breast crease. This allows Dr. Pawan to remove excess skin and significantly reshape the entire breast cone.

3. Anchor Lift (The Inverted-T)

For severe sagging or significant weight loss patients. Includes the areola, the vertical line, and a horizontal incision hidden perfectly within the natural breast crease for maximum lifting power.

The Mayflower Scar Protocol

Scarring is the primary concern for women considering a Mastopexy. Because we operate an elite Regenerative MedSpa, your surgical journey includes advanced post-operative scar management. Dr. Pawan utilizes the Femto derma CO2 Laser (70W RF Metal Tube) on your incisions during the healing phase. This advanced technology actively breaks down scar tissue, ensuring your surgical lines fade rapidly into soft, virtually imperceptible marks.

Lift vs. Implants: What Do You Need?

A Lift Alone (Auto-Augmentation)

A breast lift removes excess skin and tightens the tissue, making the breast look firmer and more youthful. It does not make the breast larger. In fact, by removing skin, the breast may appear slightly smaller. However, Dr. Pawan utilizes "auto-augmentation" techniques—folding your own existing breast tissue upward to create natural upper-pole fullness without implants.

Lift with Augmentation

If you have lost significant breast volume (deflation) and also experience sagging, a lift alone will not give you the cleavage or fullness you desire. Combining a Mastopexy with Silicone Implants or Fat Grafting in a single surgery elevates the nipple and restores stunning, youthful volume.

  • Restores lost cup sizes.
  • Creates dramatic upper-pole cleavage.
  • Perfect for "Mommy Makeovers."

Recovery & Timeline

The Surgery

Performed under general anesthesia. You will feel zero pain. It is typically a day-care procedure, taking 2 to 3 hours depending on the technique.

Days 1 to 5 (Rest)

You will experience soreness, swelling, and mild bruising. You must sleep on your back. Pain is well-managed with oral medication. You will be wearing a specialized surgical support bra.

Weeks 2 to 4 (Return to Work)

Most patients return to non-physical desk jobs within 7 to 10 days. The breasts will initially look "high and tight," which is intentional as they will settle over time. Heavy lifting is prohibited.

Week 6 (The Drop and Fluff)

You are cleared for normal exercise. The tissues soften, swelling resolves, and the breasts drop into their final, beautiful, natural shape. The Femto CO2 scar treatments begin.

Surgical Insights & Safety

Will I lose sensation in my nipples?
Temporary numbness or hypersensitivity is common for a few weeks as the nerves heal. Because Dr. Pawan preserves the pedicle (the blood and nerve supply to the nipple) during reshaping, permanent loss of sensation is rare.
Can I still breastfeed after a lift?
Many women successfully breastfeed after a Mastopexy, especially with modern techniques that preserve the glandular connections to the nipple. However, if you are planning future pregnancies, we highly recommend waiting to have a lift, as pregnancy will re-stretch the skin and undo the surgical results.
How long do the results last?
The results of a breast lift are long-lasting, but they are not immune to the aging process. Gravity, significant weight fluctuations, and age will eventually affect the skin's elasticity again. Maintaining a stable, healthy weight ensures your lifted contour lasts for years.

Transformations

★★★★★

"After a massive 30kg weight loss, my breasts were completely deflated and hanging. I felt so insecure. Dr. Pawan performed an anchor lift with implants. His bedside manner is incredible, and the results are stunning. For the first time in my life, I don't have to wear a push-up bra."

"I was so worried about the 'lollipop' scars. Dr. Pawan assured me about his laser treatments post-op. Six months later, the lift is perfect, and the scars are so faint my husband barely notices them. Highly recommend Mayflower!"
