Dedicated to training the next generation of highly skilled Fetal Medicine specialists and sonologists through rigorous academic fellowships and intensive hands-on clinical exposure.

Maternal-Fetal Medicine is evolving at an unprecedented pace. The diagnostic capabilities we possess today were unimaginable a decade ago. However, technology is only as effective as the mind interpreting the image.
I established the Indian Institute of Fetal Medicine (IIFM) because Central India needed a premier epicenter for super-specialized education. We bridge the gap between basic obstetric ultrasound and elite fetal diagnostics.
— Dr. Kunda Shahane, Founder & Director
Comprehensive, structured pathways designed for Obstetricians, Radiologists, and Sonologists seeking to master Fetal Medicine.
A highly intensive, long-term clinical fellowship designed to create independent Fetal Medicine consultants.
A specialized module focusing entirely on the complex hemodynamics and structure of the fetal heart.
Designed for practicing clinicians who want to refine their skills in specific high-risk ultrasound areas.
With over 20,000 fetuses evaluated, IIFM offers an unmatched variety of clinical exposure. Fellows witness rare congenital anomalies, complex twins, and high-risk conditions that are rarely seen in standard practices.
Training occurs exclusively on the world’s most advanced equipment, the GE Voluson Signature Expert. Fellows learn to manipulate high-end 3D/4D rendering, STIC, and AI-driven biometry tools.
IIFM is one of the few institutes offering observational and hands-on guidance for complex therapeutic interventions, including Intrauterine Blood Transfusions and Amniocentesis.
All training strictly adheres to the rigorous protocols and standardized auditing established by the Fetal Medicine Foundation (FMF), UK, ensuring global competency.
Applications for the upcoming Fellowship batch and Short-Term Observer programs are currently being reviewed.
